Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who used to be the captain of the Indian cricket team, stopped playing international cricket on India’s Independence Day, August 15, in 2020. Now, people are guessing that Dhoni might be in his first movie with a famous actor from South India, Thalapathy. Dhoni is still connected to Tamil Nadu because he leads a team called Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He even helped them win the IPL championship in 2023 when he was 41 years old.
THALAPATHY 68
Some news on social media is talking about Dhoni being the main bad person in the movie ‘Thalapathy 68’, which many people are excited about. The movie is being made by a well-known filmmaker named Venkat Prabhu. But no official news has come out about whether Dhoni is really in the movie. These rumors are making Dhoni’s fans on social media very excited.
Let Get Married 2021
Dhoni and his wife Sakshi started a company that makes movies, called Dhoni Entertainment Pvt Ltd. They already released a Tamil movie called ‘Let’s Get Married’. In 2021, Dhoni surprised his fans by showing up on the set of Vijay’s movie called ‘Beast’.
Even Sakshi Dhoni, his wife, hasn’t said for sure if Dhoni will act in movies, but she said that if there’s a good character with a good story and message, Dhoni might think about it. She said this to Chennai Today last month.
Thalapathy Vijay
The people who will act in the movie with Thalapathy Vijay are still being decided. They will tell us who they are in the next few days or weeks. They want to start filming in October and show the movie for the first time during the Diwali festival in 2024.

Other than ‘Let’s Get Married’, Dhoni’s movie company has made three other movies – ‘Roar of the Lion’, ‘The Hidden Hindu’, and ‘Blaze to Glory’. Sakshi also said that Dhoni would be good in action movies because he’s always doing exciting things. She said, “He’s always in action. What kind of movie do you think suits him? If we make a movie with Dhoni as the main person, it will be full of action. But if there’s a character with a good story and message, Dhoni might be interested,” Sakshi said.
